Justice and Equity- Prison Fellowship Cameroon on the International Peace Day decided to celebrate this day through it’s Prisons 4 Peace Project also supported by Cameroon Association for Media Professionals – CAMP, United Action for the Underprivileged Foundation- UAUF, Reach Out, and ProPeace, decided to celebrate this day at the Buea Central Prison, Bamenda and Banyo Prisons. Justice & Equity Prison Fellowship (JE-PFC) Cameroon launched its capacity building project and also distribute the 2018 International Day of the Woman’s Fabric to the Female inmates on Tuesday the 6th of March 2018, at the Buea Central Prison, South West Region, Cameroon. Training female inmates on how to produce products like hair oil(demantol and soul mate),detergents which they can sell and use the money to support their families while in Prison.
2 of us women from Prison Fellowship Cameroon participated at this conference (in the delegation from SW Region) where women’s participation in politics in Africa was seen to have evolved and Operation 50/50 was advocated. The president of Prison Fellowship Cameroon gave her 1995 UN conference speech on women in Beijing experience, as a participant and resource person, urging women to have confidence in themselves and be heavily involved in active politics going in as Mayors, Parliamentarians, Senators and not just supporters of men.

Conference on National Human Rights Institutions in Africa NANHRIOn the invitation by the Chairman of National Commission on Human Rights and Freedoms, PFC participated in the 10th Bienial conference on National Human Rights Institutions in Africa NANHRI theme: Enhancing the roles in these institutions and the prevention of Torture.
The Expression of the PFC delegate by its president as an experienced technocrat in detention centers like the prisons was heavily welcomed.
