Following the lunch of JE-PFC Prison Decongestion Project, we worked with inmates of the Buea Central Prison who had served their jail terms but were still in Prison because of unpaid fine. JE-PFC paid the fines (worth 1.2 million) of 15 inmates and were Released. But before their Release, they were counseled by JE-PFC Chaplain on staying away from crime and living good and exemplary lives so they don’t find themselves in Prison again. We thank the Nigerian Consulate for partnering with us in this phase to combat overcrowding in Prison. The released Inmates received their Release Papers from the Superintendent in-charge and also received a Release Certificate and envelopes containing their transportation to their various destinations by JE-PFC. This Prison Decongestion Project is carried out every year.
